Cottonmouth and the Great Gift by C.S. Fritz

The adventure continues for dear Freddie Cottonmouth in this book. Both Laila and I are in total agreement with series so far. We love all the characters, and we think that each new character that comes into Freddie’s life brings a certain uniqueness to the story. Freddie Cottonmouth is both delightfully unpredictable, and a relatable character (Laila’s exact words). She said, she too would do what she could to try to get her parents back. Naturally, I smiled and hugged her for that. Laila thinks that this book was very mysterious; she loves that she never knows what is coming. Again, the art is wonderful and continues to bring a lot of character to the story. We agreed this book deserves its 4-stars, and we can’t wait to get our hands on the next Cottonmouth adventure.

Children’s Fiction

When his best friend comes back to life, Freddie is determined they’ll never be apart again. But to find him, Freddie must rely on three mysterious gifts Tug left him.

Gently touching on themes of Jesus’s resurrection and the Holy Spirit, this story will spark every child’s imagination. As a follow up to Cottonmouth and the River, this story combines the artistic sense of Where the Wild Things Are with the heart of Narnia.
